Freasha is in working order again. I had some problems with the sshd rc script (it wasn't starting the server or even trying to for some unknown reason), so I had to put sshd in rc.local for now. I will try to research a solution. As it stands, I believe the we are good to go.
Last night, I reinstalled NetBSD on freasha. She now is running on a pair of 200 GB maxtor hard drives which are mirrored. The system is currently up and running, but may have a few bugs yet especially is she has to reboot. I intend to work those out soon. All web data except awstats has already been migrated.
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean you're pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.
I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.
I migrated Andersonhighschool.com to freasha. I also set it up to use the same comment system as guyblade.com. An interesting note: since blogger post IDs are universally unique, I can use the same database to store the comments from both blogs. Quite handy indeed.
Yeah. YACCS (the old system I used for blogger comments) has decided to delete old comments. As such, I've migrated what few comments still remain to a new php/mysql based system that I coded up this weekend.
I've been working on my dns management system this weekend. I have it now properly outputting well formed bind9 and I have the backend database set up in a reasonable way. Not much of an acoomplishment, but ya'know. My next priority is to get the automated updating working.
